Our Story
More opportunity
within reach
We work with children and young people who have the ability and ambition to learn, but need better access to the tools, support and guidance that make progress possible.
Our Beginning
Sneh Asha Foundation began in Mumbai in 2023, founded by Siddhi Jaiswal and Sneha Jaiswal.
The Foundation began with a simple observation: a student's ability is often not the barrier. Access can be.
A student may be ready to learn but not have access to a computer. Another may earn a place in further education but struggle to meet its cost. For someone approaching the end of school, the missing support may simply be guidance on what comes next.
Sneh Asha was created to respond to these everyday barriers and help students continue learning and move towards their next opportunity.
Purpose
Positive
transformation
Sneh Asha works with schools and students across Maharashtra to address practical gaps in education through Digital Literacy, Opportunity Scholarships and Jeevan Kaushalya.

Our work brings together access to digital learning, support for eligible education and sporting costs, practical life skills and guidance for the choices students face beyond school.
A child's future should have room for their abilities and interests. Yet access to technology, the cost of education and limited guidance can narrow their choices early.
Vision
A society free from intergenerational poverty
Where education and skilling enable dignity, security and sustainable development.

Mission
Strengthening education, life skills and digital capabilities
To alleviate poverty by strengthening education, life skills, digital capabilities and skilling among children, youth and women, enabling long-term social and economic mobility.
The belief that brought us together
Young people deserve access to opportunities that allow their abilities to grow.
Siddhi Jaiswal and Sneha Jaiswal started Sneh Asha with this shared belief. It continues to guide work in schools and with individual students.

Our Journey
From One Beginning
to Many More Possibilities
Sneh Asha began in Mumbai in 2023 with a focus on school-based digital learning and scholarship support. What started with one computer lab and the first group of scholars has gradually grown into Digital Literacy across municipal and government schools, four scholarship batches, and Jeevan Kaushalya in Palghar’s Ashram Shalas.
Sneh Asha Foundation Established
Sneh Asha Foundation was established in Mumbai on 27 March 2023.
The Foundation began with a focus on bringing digital learning and education support closer to students who had the ability and ambition to move forward but did not always have access to the resources they needed.
1st Foundation Day
Sneh Asha marked its first Foundation Day, beginning a journey centred around education, digital access and opportunities for students.
Welcomed the 1st Scholarship Batch
Sneh Asha welcomed its first scholarship batch. The first batch supported 18 students pursuing higher education, marking the beginning of the Foundation’s scholarship support programme.
The scholarship programme would later grow to support students across academic, professional and sporting pathways.
1st Computer Lab Inaugurated
Sneh Asha inaugurated its first computer lab at:
Sant Kakkaya Marg MPS Hindi School, Dharavi
This marked the beginning of Sneh Asha’s school-based Digital Literacy work.
The Foundation’s first-year account records digital training for 1,200 students in Standards 6–10, alongside scholarship support for 18 students.
Welcomed the 2nd Scholarship Batch
Sneh Asha welcomed its second scholarship batch, continuing its work with students who needed support to move forward in their education.
Scholarship support considers a student’s academic or sporting potential, financial circumstances and the specific cost standing between them and their next step.
Four More Computer Labs Inaugurated
Sneh Asha expanded its school-based Digital Literacy programme with four additional computer labs:
Kala Killa MPS · Gokhale Road MPS · Transit Camp MPS · Bhavani Shankar Road
Together with the first lab at Sant Kakkaya Marg, this period marked the programme’s expansion to five school sites. The independent Digital Literacy assessment later describes five pilot schools during academic year 2024–25.
Welcomed the 3rd Scholarship Batch
Sneh Asha welcomed its third scholarship batch, bringing another group of students into the Foundation’s scholarship programme.
The programme supports students facing an eligible financial gap at important education, professional or sporting transitions, with academic follow-up and career guidance continuing beyond the award.
Ten More Computer Labs Inaugurated
The Digital Literacy programme expanded further with 10 additional computer labs:
Woollen Mill MPS · Shanti Nagar, Thane · LA Mahim · Malwani Malad · Pratiksha Nagar · Sewree Cross Road · Govandi Shivaji Nagar · Chembur Station Road · Vinoba Bhave, Kurla · Rajawadi Vidhyavihar CBSC School, Ghatkopar
By academic year 2025–26, the independent Digital Literacy assessment reviewed a total 15-school cohort.
Students in the programme learn during regular school hours through a structured curriculum, practical assignments and baseline and endline assessments.
Digital Literacy Grows From 5 to 15 Assessed Schools
The independent assessment records the development of the Digital Literacy programme from five pilot schools in 2024–25 to 15 schools in 2025–26.
The programme is designed for students in Grades 5–10, with learning moving from basic computer use to documents, spreadsheets, presentations, internet use, Canva, online research and an introduction to AI and responsible digital-tool use.
Digital Literacy Programme Assessed
In April 2026, ProjektAnalytics Technologies Private Limited assessed Sneh Asha’s Digital Literacy programme across academic years 2024–2026.

Welcomed the 4th Scholarship Batch
Sneh Asha welcomed its fourth scholarship batch, continuing its support for students across education, professional and sporting pathways.
Across Batches 1–4, the scholarship programme records 72 students supported since 2023.
Scholarship support goes beyond the award itself, with academic check-ins, mentoring and career guidance forming part of the programme’s approach to helping students continue their journeys.
Jeevan Kaushalya Expands the Journey to Palghar
Sneh Asha extended its programme portfolio to Palghar through Jeevan Kaushalya.
Designed for students in Grades 5–10, the programme brings practical learning into Ashram Shalas through four areas:
Financial Literacy · Functional English · Life Skills and Soft Skills · Career Guidance
For Grades 5–8, the programme focuses on foundational exposure and confidence. For Grades 9–10, it places greater emphasis on applied learning and preparation for education transitions.
The programme is described across four Ashram Shalas:
Jawhar: Dabhosa · Vinval
Vikramgad: Kurze · Kanhe
The programme material describes one teacher assigned to each school, with a coordinator overseeing delivery across all four sites.
